I want to tell you today, three reasons why I exercise, which I am hoping sparks a little bit of interest in exercise for you.
#1 is that exercise makes me happy! If I’m cranky or if I’m in a bad mood, I’m only one huff and puff session away from putting a smile on my dial which is is the best type of bad mood medicine. Just get out there and do something.
#2 It’s fun! It gets me outdoors and it always makes me feel like I have so much control over what I am doing, and that life is really good. As soon as I am out on that road or if I’m doing something physical it just makes me feel better about what I do and what’s going on in my life.
#3 It keeps me physically able to do whatever I want. Some people might say you have to be extremely fit or training for a marathon, triathlon or whatever. I’m not training for anything in particular. I’m training so that I can do whatever activity I want in life and be physically sound to do it. That is good enough for me at this stage. Even though I’ve done events in the past and yes I may do some in the future, however at this point in time I love that I can lift things, I can carry my kids, play with my kids, work hard and still be completely capable of doing all those things.
So that’s my 3 things that I love about exercise. I really hope that this sparks a little fire in your belly to get fit and healthy. It’s such an important part of living a fulfilling life.
